The brainchild of Amy Jacobson-Peters, this is our all-design student back-to-school meeting where we build community, connect with first-year students, introduce the faculty, talk about the upcoming year and give away some swag!
Now students know all of us, they know what we're into and—get this—they will talk to us, even if they aren't in our class! That's a big deal at a school where most students commute; it's a new culture in just five years. I am pleased to support and initiate this critical event/concept during my time as Department Chair and School Director.
